This book is not necessarily a book of the “greatest” movies – rather it is about the secondary movies!  Here is how the author puts it:

“The purpose of this book is to provide alternative choices. When parents search frantically for that one video to please their children, they can now turn to this guide to find forgotten, over-looked, or unknown movies for wholesome, challenging, and sometimes thrilling entertainment.”

I discovered this book after I created my list of Top 200 Movies based on 37 lists of the greatest movies, so it was not included in my review.  And since it is really not a book of the “greatest” movies, it probably should not be used if I revise my list in the future. Never-the-less, it does include an interesting selection of movies, so I am including them here as a reference.
